Long before Sea Wolves became a thriving community of support, there was a simple need, men facing cancer needed a place where they could feel understood, supported, and less alone. From that need, Sea Wolves Men’s Cancer Pack began as a grassroots movement built by men who understood the cancer journey firsthand.

Built on lived cancer experience and the belief that “men with cancer helping men with cancer” is more than a motto, Sea Wolves set out to create something different. Something human. Something real.

The group started with simple Tuesday-morning coffee meetups in Nanaimo. From there, the group grew, expanding across Vancouver Island with weekly gatherings, peer support, chemo-care backpacks, advocacy efforts and hope for hundreds of men.

Today, their vision lives on through every backpack handed out, every conversation around a coffee table, every man reminded that “You are not alone. You are part of the pack.”
